As per the State Govt's official statistics made available on the website www.apind.gov.in (www.apind.gov.in/library/district/kadapa.pdf‎ and other pages), Kadapa district is among the Industrially Least Developed Districts across all the regions of A.P (Districtwise numbers are given below). In the light of emotions flying high based on the regional disparities in development within Andhra Pradesh, it is imperative that any opportunity to help establish industries in the backward areas should not be lost at any cost. We request you to seriously consider the proposals made repeatedly by the Steel Authority of India Limited over a couple of years (in November 2011 and again in March 2012) to take up the abandoned Brahmani Steels in Jammalamadugu of Kadapa District.
