This really sucks, one of my favorite parts of steam was the trading aspect.... and well.... I can't anymore... Do you really want to turn into an EA?

I've been trading on steam for a long, long time now, and this update has completely screwed me over. First of all I have a Windows Phone, which is not compatible with the steam mobile app, I have downloaded the steam desktop authenticator (made by company/website which is not affiliated with steam or valve, because they haven't thought this through) But I don't see the need for all this at all, and this update needs to be stopped. Also if you're a new player (known as F2P) and you want to get into trading and you don't have a Android or Apple phone this is going to make them dislike the game from the very start, which means a loss in players for games such as TF2 and CSGO. This new "Trade Hold" update is going to kill most TF2 and CSGO websites such as Scrap.tf and many, many more. The owners of these websites have devoted alot of time into coding there bots and employing people to help out with the site and coding. These companies/websites have made lots of money from donators, sponsors and the community and they deserve it all. If this escrow/"Trade Hold" update releases it will destroy there success which they earned rightly and this is because Valve/Steam haven't put any thought into this what so ever. Also the steam desktop authenticator has many flaws because it's new. This update is also really unfair to the people who don't have the technology needed to trade and these people are loyal Valve supporters and loyal TF2/CSGO players that are just trying to be a part of the community. - And that is why I'm signing this petition. - Sincerely Meep

What are people without phones going to do, if I had a phone I prob would have gotten it, but I do not and the programs to get google and iphone apps don't even work.

This stupid feature has ruined trading for me! I literally just bought 4 keys to use them as trading currency when this went down! This needs to be removed!
