Despite concerns for more account security, this particular method would severely harm community websites and good trading bots. Part of the reason games like Team Fortress 2 and CS:GO are still alive and well is because these community sites and trading keep the community active. If this update passes, almost nothing good will come of it. Great sites like Scrap.TF would be almost killed. No one wants that. Seriously. Please don't let this happen.

i traded once, and would like to still trade. please do not implement escrow, it will make things hard for everyone.

Valve doesn't want to protect Steam users, they just want to destroy trading, so that the only way to get items will be the SCM. I really liked Valve. Well, not anymore.
