Valve got stupid on that one. Seriously. It is people's fault if they get scammed. The one-week untradability of items bought from SCM and the one week trade ban when logging from a new device are already trade-killing, let's not add further nonsense.

Valve please don't do this.
I know you're only trying to help us all out and do the right thing, but escrow is not the best idea. Personally, I don't have a smartphone, and I can't buy one just for this. As my fellow players have mentioned, this WILL kill trading, and lots of great websites like scrap.tf will be killed off in the time to follow.Please don't do this to us.
