This is so pointless valve. No one asked for it, so why add it? I understand that you have the security of players and their items in mind. But there is a such thing as going overboard, and this is it.

The steam trading has been already slowed down immensly with the email authentication. This will slow it down even more. Some people don't have smartphones. Not only that, but it will kill off websites like Trade.tf, CSGOLounge and other trade websites which a lot of the community use. Adding this to trading will turn many people away from CSGO, Dota 2, TF2 and many other games that implement trading.

This will hurt people and all the trading systems more than it will provide usefulness to people.

Not the right way to go about the current trading/security issues. Valve don't know how much damage they'll do.

Utter Bollocks. It make life so much harder for genuine users, and hardly affects scammers. Unless its a bad scammer. And the only way to protect people who fall for bad scammers is wrap everyone in bubble warp and not let them play out side. Let people make stupid mistakes. And continue trying to protect us from the genuine threats instead, like north Korean hackers, and skilled upper class southern-English con artists.

Trading has become enough of a pain as it is, this will make it even more infuriating.
