I see this as being done in with good intent in mind, but this is not the right way to go as it is likely to do more harm than good (ie kill bot item transfers, which are important to the community).

this escrow system is NOT a good idea. I do not WANT a smartphone, use email or something that EVERYONE has access to! This will ruin the CSGO economy and we DO NOT want it!

Don't force people to get things, if people dont have a smart phone or a phone able to run the app to authenticate, you just said F U. I have friends that stoped playing the game already cuz of the ranking system and having to get to level 3 to play comp. This is way more intrusive, and will make alot of the community leave. PLZ DONT DO IT.

This Escrow sounds so bad, I don't know where to start. Valve didn't want to harm the economy in their beloved communities, but adding 'this' will burn down Steam Trading, a bigger burn than the Big Fire that happened in England in 1666. Ugh. It seems that Valve didn't think twice. I am happy that someone came up with a petition against it, because if they add this sh*t, there will still be scammers.They, the Scammers, will work harder in order to trick people.

I use scrap.tf a lot. And I can't afford a phone so I'll never be able to use trading again. Valve, think about the poor people. They can't use one of the best features in steam. Maybe you should put a backpack scanner for each party so they can see each other's backpacks,and if they don't have the backpack thing enabled, they can't trade for three days or something like that.

The majority of the community is against this and I don't see how this will help, there are cheap smart phones and scammers are willing to buy accounts so what is stopping them from getting a ten dollar phone?
