This is going to kill the trades and ain't stopping the scams, this is just going to get things worse, because scammers can just buy cheap phones and still scam us, there won't be any websites like trade.tf, scrap.tf , dota trades , etc.

Honestly, the escrow system seems very flawed. Yes, it adds some security by requiring users to input a valid phone number, but if you really want to scam people you could buy a TracPhone at Walmart and activate it. $10 for a phone to scam $100 items?
Here's what a good solution would be:
Automatically turn on email verification for all users (if you're able to) and if they want to turn it off, they have to do it manually. That's just my suggestion.

As someone who has traded a lot in CS:GO, seeing trading possibly get killed like this hurts. Plus addig this is forcing users to have a smartphone to be able to trade.
