We already have to deal with stupidly inefective email verification, and now I have to worry about whether or not the guy I'm trading with is using steamguard? That's bolony on a city like level.

This is not the right way to protect the unprotected. Plus, if they keep getting scammed with all these already existing layers of protection, then maybe its not the system, maybe its just the user.

I honestly think that this escrow is an absolutely ridiculous idea. By adding an escrow, you are ruining the trading experience that attracts many users to Steam. An escrow has a negative effect and will cause a substantial decrease in the amount of Steam users. As a company that relies on these users to make most of your money, the positives of having an escrow simply do NOT outweigh the negatives. If you have any idea of what is best for Steam, abolishing this idea of having an escrow would be a wise decision.

If Valve still respects their community, escrow should be shelved for good, otherwise community sites, such as scrap.tf and frade.tf will not work.

Mobile authenticators are a pain in the ass. I have the means to do it, and have done it once before, and wish to never go through the ordeal again. I will probably quit trading and purchasing in-game items if the escrow goes full-scale.
