valve is just testing how people will react to that. its ok guys. Gabe isnt an idiot. Rember paid mods? 2 days and gabe removed them and explained things on reddit ama. Also the HL3 leak was intentional to see what people thing about rpg openworld and daynight cycle etc, but its sad people didnt realize that Valve wants to know what they think.

Trading is an integral part of the Team Fortress 2 experience for you, and I often do not have easy access to my smartphone. Punctuality can make or break a trade, so I (and thousands of others evidently), don't want to run through another annoying layer of confirmation just to get on with our business.
