In the beginning the trade accept policy from email was annoying, not allowing one to trade an item bought or unlocked in a game for 7 days was ridiculous. Punishing experienced players for idiots behaviors was just wrong. Now this? Escrow is forcing players to get an app and share their phone number with Steam. Some players are not comfortable with this. It isn't even optional. This update would ruin trading for most players and absolutely end all betting and trading websites. Escrow is one of the worst ideas in trading ever. It doesn't protect anyone at all, how could it?

It's just items and item trading are such a big part of the community and after the eotl update we can see what the tf2 community does when they don't get what they want

This should not happen, most of the Steam community need to be able to trade without it killing it self. I have been using Steam for a while, and it has been great. But just adding all this is hurting it self.

Please remove this idiotic system. It simply ruins the community, and it would not help, or make Steam and the Trading system any better. This is not benefiting me or other players in any way. And if Valve continues with this, I might just give up on most of their games, and I'm sure others will enact the same. Trading works with bots and in a certain way. If Valve were to destroy this system, it would destroy the trading system, thus crippling the community. It also means that there will be less money for Gaben and Valve. I know that Valve love their money, and if they want to have a down slope, then they should not implement this new system.
