We don't want this system. It's a nice idea, but it absolutely kills a huge aspect of the steam community and hinders important aspects of trading like trading bots and sites like scrap.tf. It is understood that this is a problem, but there should be a way to prevent scams without doing something so detrimental to the community.

Please add support for SMS, TOTP, and U2F authentication. I'd love to use 2-factor authentication but I refuse to install the abhorrent Steam app.

Completely ruins trading for people without mobile devices. I live in a very rural area with zero mobile coverage; no cell reception even for a dumb phone.

This update shouldn't go through, I am under 18 and do not have a mobile phone yet.
I use steam constantly and this would be a major blow to me and many others, stopping them from being able to trade.
