If valve wants to stop scams try something else, this wont help. The people stupid enough to fall for the scam still wont know its a scam so the 3 day wait time is useless

Not everyone has smartphones. Why can't I use regular phone?! Why can't I use mail that already has phone authentication?!

It is just an annoyance and harder for new players to get into trading as they are put off by the 3 day wait on their items and the 7 day wait on the escrow.
Please tell Valve that the whole trade hold idea is ridiculous. Emails are already secure enough because they are meant to be private.
