i have a problem

I don't have a smartphone, don't want one, and there's no way in hell I'll ever give a company like Valve my phone number anyway.

Escrow should be optional

I disapprove the holding, because it is useless. E-mail is a more secure method. Why? Because Steam Mobile allows trades, and it must be installed on current smartphone. If me, an average gopnik, takes away somebody’s smartphone, I will get full access to his inventory. And while this kid is running home, I can send a trade offer to my comrade, convey all items to him, get SMS secure code BY LOOSER’S SMARTPHONE and confirm trade. Also, Escrow is unfair to people who haven’t a mobile phone, or have something like Nokia or similar potatophone. Not everybody in Russia can have smartphones. My suggestions: a) Add checkbox “I understood the risk, but I want to continue trade anyway”. In these case Steam requires to confirm code from email, and send items after it. b) Add safe word to confirm trades. Safe word may be changed only by Steam Support and only if you present a current one. c) Also, it would be nice if Valve makes authenticator for normal phones (if users decide to use it). Now people use unsafe binds “mobile phone + extraneous program” like unofficial Steam desktop authenticator, “reliable” BlueStacks emulator, etc. If you have some questions, ask me. Steam Escrow is useless and discouraging for new trader.

Trade hold should have been much less days and optional. All I have in my account are some cards, if someone wants to steal them go ahead!

This is just silly, i want to do a damn trade without having to wait SO MANY days to achieve the item. like lets say 1 item is being given to you, you have to wait forever for 1 tiny thing. Plus, why cant they just do a email AND code confirmation on the phone or whatever so they know its you and you can get the item.

I don't own a smartphone and i wont buy one just for steam-trade. I am angry and dissapointed.

Traders that don't have a phone have to suffer through 15 days of not getting their items.

i was a victim of a scammer too.. im just a human... i was saled talked by a scammer.. i thought there was a 15days delay before the item will be send.. but i was wrong, thats why my item was gone.. and sad to say it will never get back..

I hate the authenticator

My friend doesn't have a phone but still always wants to trade with me. I feel like steam is punishing him for not being able to afford a phone with this trade hold. I just hate it.

Im sick of not being able to trade efficiently, cant buy the items i want cause i cant trade a sell my items with 7-15 day hold >:(

To need 2 weeks to trade an item is ridiculous, it should be 3 days.

EScrow was a foolish idea to begin with. BEing someone w/o access to a phone, this really hurt me.
