for people that don't have phones, trade holds will destroy trading for everyone, with small tweaks in the system, it will be bearable, but now it is just a bad idea!

This is the stupidest idea yet. At least allow a person to voluntarily opt so those of us without android phones can still complete card sets.

I'm really sceptical if this 'escrow' was really to make trading safer or for valve to just make you just buy skins/hats etc. thanks for this petition!

Good, idea, done wrong.
Just have a way to pull your items back from the other person, and they cannot re-trade the item for 3 days.
Basically:
Trade went through
Items received but are uncraftable/untradeable for 3 days
If the trade was not a trade you made, the system will give everyone their items back.

I myself am not a trader, but all of Valve's recent efforts at 'helping' prevent inventory liquidations annoys me greatly. Escrow is unnecessary, and all of the other measures in place help prevent loss of items.
