Another one of valve's hairbrain schemes to force the steam market upon everyone...but what is this? You need a phone? We only download steam for steam itself? You are going to withhold people from a basic and fundamental part of steam? Sorry Valve, but that is low. even for your standards. And you say that this would help prevent scams. You know what else tried to prevent scams? E-mail verification. And look how many people disliked that. remember, none of these things will actually help prevent scams, people are and will always be stupid enough to get scammed one way or another.

at least make it optional, making this mandatory will be devastating for traders who do not have an android or ios smartphone, which is a huge portion of traders. scrap.tf held a poll and around 1/3 of traders there do not have an android or ios smartphone. nobody who has sma activated will want to trade with someone who will make them wait 3 days to get an item. this is a terrible idea

Yay Valve, I don't own a smart phone, and you want me to wait 3 days before I can get my items and trade it out when the price have lowered and get me to lose all my money. Valve oh Valve, You've made another dumb decision. I've quit steam for this.

While I understand the issue of scamming from Valve's perspective, many people don't have a smartphone leading to less trading, and overall a less active community. Obviously this is a problem, but can you please give us some say as to whether we use this feature. At the very least you could not restrict those who literally can't use your authenticator,
