The Dayton Dunbar Basketball program is one of the best in the country because of Coach Peter Pullen, Coach Powell, Sr. Coach Powell, Jr. And Coach Sturgis. There is no valid reason to tamper with what works well for our young people, the programs supporters and our community. Isn't it about our youth? Keep Coach Pullen. We all love and respect him!!

You just can't have anybody walk in a Dayton Dunbar gym and call them coach. Pete is loyal to our kids, our school, and our community. I have never had the opportunity to be coach by Pete, but I have been in his presence a number of times, you wouldn't think he won 4 State Championships in his lifetime. Now I have been around plenty other coaches in the area without state champions maybe one regional appearance and you would have thought they are the best coach in the area. No the best coach in this area is Pete Pullen. Pete is a class act and he fits what Dunbar Basketball is all about! CLASS!

Peter has done a tremendous job, I have personally worked with him @ Belmont H.S. and I retired from Dunbar back in "06" where he had won a State Title!!!!

Please reconsider coach pulled had my son for 4 yes and he was a great leader,father who some kids never had a wonderful teacher and very concerned with my son academic ..I'm all for this coach

Coach Pullen is one of those men that I use to run from as a youth, because he knew my potential as a man rather if it was basketball or not he knew that it was greatness in every fatherless knucklehead boy in Dunbar facility! To punish a great leader and coach for winning and being a role model is definitely setting the standards low and discouraging youth in our community from being great! You are basically smacking us in the face again by saying no matter how good of a job you do or how many lives you change we can strip you from your position at anytime and with no real reasoning! Don't you see that this has been the story of black people lives and that it is a lot of the reason son many of us take the wrong path! Do

I was an assistant under Pete and the allegations against are false. I know of at least 25 kids he's gotten into colleges a few are even at the root level. If this is from the football allegations last season the Bd of Ed fired the wrong guy. I stand behind Coach P and lease contact if you have any questions. THE DAYTON BD OF ED IS WRONG!!!

Coach Pulled is/was like one of the "BEST COACHES" i have ever had..and that your child(ren) could ever have. He has a strong passion not only for winning but educating students the best way he knows how to!!!
PS: Coach Pullen is also a GREAT Mentor..he has helped me get through some of my most HARDEST TIMES in HS at Dunbar..couldn't have done it without him!!!

Our community needs great leaders like Coach Pullen, he has been a role model so many students even young adults. I'm sure firing him will not change the fact that Dayton Public schools are a Failing school district, my opinion teachers, and other needs consequences for their wrongs for failing the students and not being committed to their mission statement.
