We decided to stay at ILF as under the order of government for the restriction of movement of the public. This was done to slow down the rate of infection and also avoid possible infection of students ourselves. I believe this action to transport students to Kuching does the opposite of anything good, and literally makes it useless of the reason we decided not to head back home and endanger ourselves and also the others around us.
The government is ignoring our safety by forcing this travel when they should know better. This surge in support proves they cannot sweep our concerns under the rug. We are not backing down until they stop endangering students.

Please re-evaluate this decision because sending the students back & forth, from Sibu to Kuching & vice versa is a waste of time & energy. They’ll be at risk for contracting COVID-19. I understand the higher administration’s concerns. But they’re safe as long as they self-quarantine in their respective dorms. Besides, we should adhere to the ROM enforced by the government.

This is even worse for Semenanjung students, we actually understood the meaning of movement restrictions and dont even decide to go back to Semenanjung. Now people like me (Malacca) are being sent to a place like Kuching instead of Melaka, will even put more risk on me.

I agree with this. Currently, we students have place to stay and we are separated from each other. This means, we can decrease the chance to expose with the virus and decrease the chance of spreading the virus to others unintentionally. Now, you wish to sent us back to main campus, May I know do you prepare any place for us to stay? Prepare any transportation for us to bring all the stuffs together? Please settle this things clear before you do any decisions.

It will certainly be a risk for student to travel so far in a confined space in bus for 9hours so we strongly disagree the decision to move students to main campus.

Should we at least wait for this two weeks? As it will be troublesome if we need to come back after 1st of april, we have to pack everything again. Would nkt it be better if we just stay where we are temporarily this two weeks?

We want to stay at ILF as I believe if we transfer to main campus it will promote mass gathering and increase risk to be infected
