Final supporters
Background: A small number of MPP1 students did not receive adequate grades in Stats Z (API-201Z) in the Fall '16 term to enroll in Stats (API-202) for the Spring '17 term. This would impose a burden on their ability to enroll in other courses during their final semester at HKS.
Under normal circumstances this would be the responsibility of the students. However, we believe the unacceptable quality of instruction in Fall ‘16 API-201Z creates extenuating circumstances. The instruction in the Stats Z section during Fall '16 was below the expected standard for a graduate program. HKS should assume responsibility for this, and make an exception to normal policy regarding pre-requisites for API-202.
We propose these students be given the benefit of the doubt and be given the option to enroll in Stats (API-202) this Spring. Students would still have to exempt from or re-take API-201 next year.

The feedback from those affected confirms that this was a systemic failure. I am currently working to bring these concerns directly to the administration.

The lectures were honestly a total disaster this semester. We were set up to fail.
Professor is sadly extremely out of touch it seems. Nothing we didn't already know though. Good luck!
