During my undergraduate career, I've grown a lot - in fact, I've grown the most in the last two years. I'm a completely different student than I was as an underclassmen. I've pursued opportunities I never even thought would exist. I've experienced things that many people dream of and learned a wealth of knowledge and skills that I can use in my pursuit to change the world. I've made connections with people that will support me throughout my career. And I would be short-changing Dr. Pritchard if I didn't say he played a major role in my development. He is truly what a University, especially the College of Engineering, needs. A self-less, passionate and understanding mentor. His experience has not only helped me grow, but many of my peers. People often look to me as the reason for SolarPack's success, but this is far from the truth. I couldn't do anything without my team. And Dr. Pritchard is just as much part of this team as anyone else. In fact, Dr. Pritchard has been here since the beginning - Nov 2016. Something few people can say today. He pushed us to be the best we could from the jump. He's always believed in us even when we didn't believe in ourselves. And for that I am forever thankful. It hurts to know how much he means to so many people here and how much of an impact he has and to feel like the University has no idea about it. To toss him aside as if his dedication to the University's development was useless. His teaching in the classroom was invaluable. And most importantly, to feel like his mentorship is unnoticed. Many students have had amazing experiences that they once felt unimaginable - and I hope they share them here. I never would've considered pursuing a PhD before he inspired me to do so. Helping me to realize that research can extend beyond academia (to be useful) and that getting a higher education gives you the competence to guide the leading edge. And as an undergraduate researcher under Dr. Pritchard, I appreciate his pragmatic approach to

Without Dr. Pritchard, SolarPack would not be anywhere close to what it is today. None of the team members would be nearly as learned, experienced, or successful. Without Dr. Pritchard, the future of SolarPack is going to be severely reduced from what it should be. He is great at connecting us with amazing and knowledgeable experts. He is a talented advisor because he lets us foster our own development and innovation without forcing us along any certain path and he does so while making absolutely certain that we are safe and professional. There is no member of the university that understand us and our goals more so than Dr. Pritchard. Not many people are committed to saving the world in such a pragmatic, practical, and realistic way that he is along with us.
There is no replacement for him; we need him with us if we are to continue growing and learning as we are.

As an advisor Dr. Pritchard has allowed us to take SolarPack where we want to go with it and at the same time he’s stepped in whenever we need his help or council. He’s very helpful for and understanding of students. For SolarPack, Dr. Pritchard is a valued advisor that can’t be replaced.

Dr. Pritchard is our guide and mentor. He's been with us since the beginning and is always willing to help us whenever we have questions, which is all the time. As students, we still don't know the in's and out's of building a solar car, so Dr. Pritchard's help is always needed.

SolarPack would not have been possible without Dr. Pritchard. He serves as a wonderful mentor and spends much more time with us than any other club adviser that I know. Not only has he helped SolarPack build a car, but he has helped each person on SolarPack grow as an individual. A SolarPack that Dr. Pritchard is not a part of is not one that I look forward to being a part of.

Dr. Pritchard has had a huge impact on my education. If it weren't for him I would have never decided I wanted to do graduate school or known that it was possible for a mechanical engineer to work in so many fields.
