one license for the state and NYC is enough. NYC has always been separate. The state licensing by county is crazy. if you drive five minutes you need a new license.

Decades overdue accordingly NYSate is run amuck with incompetent unqualified and uninsured electricians, 3rd party electrical inspectors are even worse.

This is long overdue. Licensed electricians have proven their dedication to the trade by putting forth an enormous effort to master their craft. It is unfair to the electrician that is licensed and risky for the potential customer to not require a license as proof of proficiency.
