On the grounds of breeched Principles, and Code of Ethics.I have come to know Derrick Chambers as a continuous embarrassment to Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. as a whole. Rating his principles of IOTA-Poor”!I have never met a man within my 20 plus years being a lifetime member of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. to be so disrespectful to the shield of IOTA. Code of Ethics: Derrick Chambers does not “maintain a high standard of personal conduct”. Derrick Chambers does not “treat all brothers with dignity and respect”.It has come to this fact that many brothers who would like to be active in the immediate Charlotte area will not volunteer any of their time or services because of Derrick Chamber on-going negative behavior. In 2011 while at a public park Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. hosted their annual picnic and Derrick Chambers decided to poor a cup of liquid substance over a mans head while the brother (frat) was engaged in another conversation. Derrick Chambers had his wife who’s a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and children with him in attendance. On this same day brothers of Iota decided to physically escort Derrick Chambers to his car because of him disrespecting another fraternity member wife (Charles Allen). Later that evening Derrick Chambers called the current Grand Polaris Derwin Gray and stated to Derwin over the phone that “he (Derrick Chambers) was coming to the next grad meeting and shooting everyone that is of light skin complexion”.This is Derrick Chamber 2nd gun threat to a brother of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. that I know of. I have witnessed Derrick Chambers pull out his loaded firearm on brothers at a “Crossing Ceremony”, this is a complete disrespect to IOTA as a whole. New membership had to witness this type of behavior from a state representative. On this evening, I was scared for my life and did not know if I would make it home to my two young children until Charles Allen (frat) talked Derrick Chambers down, and took his gun. I personally had to ask James Derseraux (assisting state director at the time) to watch Derrick Chambers for he verbally assaulted an undergrad female student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte while he was under the influence of alcohol. She approached me and stated “please get your frat brother he is old enough to be my father. He keeps saying nasty things to me, and he’s trying to talk to me.” I addressed Derrick Chambers directly, and he told me that “he will chill out”, and that’s when I ask James Derseraux to watch Derrick Chambers. This action followed immediately after attending a probate for new membership (Kayshawn Thompson) while celebrating with Kayshawn family and college friends. As a State Representative in any region this is a show of lack of the five principles of Iota among potential interest of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc. in a campus setting or in general. In 2009 at the North Carolina A&T Classic Football Tailgate here in Charlotte Derrick Chambers again had to be put in his car in an effort to calm down the bystanders (random guys) whom women Derrick Chambers had disrespected because they would not talk to him. Again, this is in an effort to request the immediate removal of said position of State Representative, and the immediate suspension of brotherhood of Derrick Chambers. I would like to request that Derrick Chambers be suspended to the maximum of a suspension term, and for Derrick Chambers not to hold any office position in any region indefinitely. This is not personal. This is in the best interest of Iota Phi Theta Fraternity, Inc.
