A suggestion that instead of families having to pay high costs of private child care the state could introduce a nursery class at existing infant schools. Parents would have the options and flexibility for their children to attend either full or part time depending on their circumstances. I would think that this scheme would be far,far cheaper for the government and much easier to apply than the unfair system of giving £1200 per child per year to those who want to work and nothing to those who want to look after their children at home.
