Start high school later. Even 30-45 minutes will mean a great deal to the students and parents who worry about them.

I've watched 2 daughters go through CCPS high school. Everything the article cited is true. Let's see if we can do better for our children.

School time should not start before 8:30 for students as they are unable to learn and retain work without proper sleep.

Send the littles earlier and the teens later. Test scores will improve across the county! My 6 year old doesn't need to be getting home after 4 when bedtime is 7-switch the schedules!

No child should start school earlier than 7:30, and no child should start later than 8:30 ... solution? Figure out how the county can invest in transportation...we need more buses and more qualified, with higher compensation, drivers!

19 year county resident seriously considering moving to Henrico over this issue. House hunting and prepping our house to sell well underway. Make a decision soon as I will not let my daughter start high school here if start times do not get adjusted ASAP.

Went to Chesterfield county schools and never got more than 5 hours of sleep a night with 3 hours plus of homework and having to get up for school at 5:15
