Jason Musselman is very qualified for this position & his commitment to this community would be impossible to replace.

Jason does a wonderful job. With support from the whole community he's obviously doing the county good. Keep him in this position.

I certainly have not heard any name suggested that would be more competent and/or qualified for this position. On the other hand, there has been nothing but positive responses for Jason's efforts as the EMA Director thus far. I am seriously concerned as to why a decision like this would be under consideration in the first place. As far as I am concerned, this is small town politics at it's finest and whether this is a single person vendetta or the board as a whole, I hope Stark County citizens take a stand for what is best for our community. I, too, would encourage those who strongly support Jason attend the December 8th meeting in an effort to show that support.

If someone can explain to me and offer up proof as to why Jason Musselman should not be reappointed to this position, I will gladly consider supporting such a decision. The problem being that I have no doubt that the board can not offer me any justification to support a need to remove Jason. I have seen him do nothing but good for the people of this community and challenge the board to prove me wrong. I don't always agree with what gets printed in these local papers and that's the honest truth, but the fact is that unless I can prove what's written to be anything other than fact, it's my problem, not theirs.

After living away from the Stark County area for many years, I was extremely hesitant to move back home. However, it is people like Jason who are making this community a better place to live, raise a family and work. Communities like Stark County need young, hardworking, dedicated and knowledgeable citizens on the front lines of politics and management to ensure accurate information and safe procedures are carried out routinely. It is the opinion and view of the public that Jason has lived this code in the multiple positions that he has held, and will hopefully continually hold, within our community. This country was built on small towns that refused to play into the politics of the big cities; let us not fall into the trap we have worked hard to avoid. This petition is a great start, but attending open town/board meetings and voicing our concern is what this community needs to do next to ensure the best individual is in the Emergency Management Director position.

The fact that there needs to be a petition is ridiculous. While I am unaware of the small town politics behind this decision, it seems to be a bad decision. Stark County has been provided with so many benefits from Jason Musselman, so please, do everyone a favor and make the right decision. Jason does a fabulous job.

Why replace someone who is doing a good job? It doesn't make any sense
