I whole-heartedly believe in the baristas and see no reason whatsoever that they can't wear their wedding rings. This is silly to add it to the dress code.

This is ridiculous. I'm not sure why Starbucks would want to keep women from wearing their wedding rings, but even the Washington state Heath Department doesn't consider this a heath issue for baristas. I they need to seriously rethink their policy on this.
I'd rather see a ring(representation of love and devotion) than some tattoo or nose/lip piercing. I'm a gold card member and come there almost daily but I think I shall stop until this policy changes.

it's offensive to me that you are not allowing your employees to wear their wedding rings iwill not buy your product until this gets fixed

This is ridiculous to allow tattoos and not wedding bands with stones. We do not actually ever contact the food so from a health stand point it's a none issue. Respect your partners.

Starbucks needs to show scientific research & proof that the wearing of wedding ring sets/ bands are hazardous to customers when no food is being touched by employees. This is a stupid policy & should be reversed. This is discrimination against married/engaged employees.

Really Starbucks...be reasonable and make the exception for commitment rings! Your employees handling food are wearing gloves.

please change this new policy. From the research I have gathered there is no grounds to back this new policy. I am deeply disappointed in this policy change and feel that it is unnecessary.
