Recently, establishment insiders, such as Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, and others met in private to name a write-in candidate to run against Kerry Bentivolio in the Republican Primary for Michigan's 11th Congressional District. Apparently, a candidate who pledges to only serve 3 terms, not raise the debt ceiling, and work to balance the budget is too extreme for the establishment.
Their preferred candidate: Former State Senator Nancy Cassis
Nancy Cassis introduced the job-killing MBT (Michigan Business Tax). The last thing we need in Washington are more career politicians that have been part of the problem, not the solution.
