We really need a diversity of businesses that meet the needs of all residents, as well as citizens from elsewhere in the city. If approved, two loan shops would be next to each other on 118th and a short term loan shop a short distance away.

One is enough in this neighborhood. A wider variety of businesses in and around our neighborhoods is what we need. Not more pawn shops, liquor stores and cash advance stores!!!!

There are 2 payday loan stores and 1 pawn shop within a six block radius on 118 Street between Inglewood and Prince Charles. I oppose another payday loan and pawn shop in the old Royal Pizza building (which is in that same 6 block span).
I know the building has been vacant for quite some time and the owner must be anxious to rent it. I don't think the owner is a villain, he/she is just trying to make a living.
I support the surrounding communities and the BRZ working with the owner to find a suitable tenant. We have enough bars, pawn shops and payday loan shops in Inglewood and Prince Charles. I am sure the residents will support and patronize a business, as they did Royal Pizza for years, if it meets the needs of the surrounding communities. I know I will.

There is no need to proliferate the area with businesses that have a known high correlation with crime. One is more than enough.

This neighbourhood doesn't need anymore of these types of businesses

I don't think another pawn shop/cash store is needed or adds benefit to the area. It would be great if it was turned into a new restaurant or another use that would benefit the families within the surrounding communities.

As a proud resident of Inglewood I would much prefer having new businesses that benefit the community. There are already too many pawn shops and cash stores in the area.

I am against the city allowing this business to operate in our community because of it has very little benefit to a sustainable and healthy neighbourhood.

I oppose having yet another pawn shop and payday loan store in this location and in Inglewood community. There are enough of these businesses already. We don't need another one!

I agree that a pawn shop and a payday loan store are not beneficial to this neighbourhood and they actually perpetuate unfavourable behavior.
I disagree in allowing this development.

we already have so many reports of thefts from vehicles, front yards, back yards and garages - why would we welcome another place in the neighbourhood that affords the opportunity to turn the stolen articles to cash? What we need more of are family restaurants, grocery stores, even daycare centres. Infill encourages housing for families in established neighbourhoods - how does another pawn shop accomplish that?
I oppose the pawn shop Cash Canada development

I live in Dovercourt but am not interested in the Royal Pizza being turned into a pawn shop. I consider the Sherbrooke/Inglewood/Prince Charles areas extensions of my community and do not want to see any/additional pawn shops in the area. The Inglewood and 118 avenue area has enough challenges as it is without adding additional potential challenges to the area.
I say no to the proposed pawn shop development.

We need to eliminate the existing cash/pawn stores already existing in our area, not adding more. They attract the wrong traffic as well as offer harmful services to desperate citizens. Cash Canada (money mart etc) all need to be deemed illegal, not supported by government.
