We propose a standards based grading scale, rather than an A-F scale. The scale would look something like this:
95%= Exceeds Expectations
85%= Meets Expectations
75%= Still Developing
65%= Area of Concern
55%= No Evidence
Students will be able to revise their work until they receive an Exceeds Expectations.
The school board continues to bury their heads in the sand while students are crushed by an archaic grading system that does nothing but measure obedience. I am tired of dealing with their excuses and their refusal to admit that our current path is failing every single child in this district. We are not backing down until they acknowledge that learning matters more than a letter on a transcript.

The school board can no longer ignore this groundswell of support for a grading system that actually measures learning instead of just punishing students. Our momentum is becoming impossible to hide and this is only the beginning of forcing these bureaucrats to change their broken ways.

I think the grading system needs to be changed because some teachers don't put in grades in that moment and wait a week or two later.
