I have been meeting with student leaders to draft a formal proposal regarding the unused meal credits. The stories I hear from classmates struggling with food insecurity confirm exactly why this shift is necessary for our community.

Seeing this momentum grow reminds me of how many hungry families in this region could finally have a reliable dinner on their table. It feels surreal to watch this idea gain traction when I remember how often I worried about my own next meal during my first year here.

RIDICULOUS that my unused meals just vanish at the end of the week. let us donate them to the community instead of throwing money in the trash.
Such a waste when so many people around athens are struggling to put food on the table. let us give them away.
