Where is St. Paul’s moral compass? There is a long pattern of sexual misconduct at SPS that was kept quiet. "Treat the survivors as a publicity problem that needs to go away." The school blamed the media and even called themselves “brave” for releasing a report showing decades of abuse. Bravery is a 15 year old survivor who will not be bullied into silence and is showing us what true leadership looks like.

This has to stop! I have witnessed first hand the toll this abuse takes on the whole family!

Sexual violence has no place in society.

Sexual violence has no place in education. Sexual violence has no place in a civil society.

How many more? Will it need to be your daughter or son? Niece, nephew, grandchild? If there is an example of a school that has all the right resources to do all the right things to change this campus culture - it's St. Paul's. You claim to "try to live by our School Prayer, which urges kindness and an eagerness to 'bear the burdens of others' ." Time to have your actions and espoused values be one and the same.

As I understand it, the intent of the petition is to call upon school officials to release the results of the investigation and present a plan for prevention in the future. With this, I whole heartedly agree.

Sexual violence as an extension of social and economic privilege is just repulsive.

Thank you for taking action to effect change! The safety and well being of the students at St. Paul's is just as important as those who are educated in inner city ghettos. "Elite" education should be defined as how well an institution prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of their students and protects them from sexual improprieties at the hands of students and faculty alike.

Courage or complicity? It is time for transparency and accountability - and the school has not only shown, but admitted, that they have placed their reputation and endowment over the safety and well being of the children under their care. Thanks to all who sign, please pass on to your network!

Do the right thing.

As the only St. Paul's faculty member, past and present, to speak out, I sign this petition and charge the school with a total failure to protect their students. If the school claims (however emptily) a church affiliation, then might they be so good as to tell us of how their actions and clumsy coverups are consonant and consistent with any Gospel teaching?

Honesty, courage to admit mistakes, and strength and innovation to move in a better direction should be traits the school models for young future leaders.

Sexual violence needs to come to an end! It's time that the victims get the support and justice they deserve. I'm tired of seeing rapists getting a pass!
