These fish are historic. There should be a law that gets after those who just leave them on the side of the bank to die. Seen it so many time with gar under 3 feet.

I think these fish are what keep our echo system in check. They will be the only fish that could keep the Asian carp in check if they make it to our area. I don't like to see dead fish on the bank for no reason but to kill!!!

In addition, smallmouth Buffalo (indeginous to the USA & Texas) need to have some form of protection against the waste of resource done by bow hunters. We see these guys toss hundreds of pounds of fish on the bank, it’s a travesty.

Unique fisheries and species must allways be protected for benefit off all manind. The recreational value of sportfishing and economic benefit of the local companies/area cant.be overstated.
Catch and Release is the way to go!!
