Stand with Texas to protect the Alligator Gar from overharvest.

There the ones who clean the rivers n canals n were killing them.

They expect to have a trophy fishery with a species that is slow growing and long living. Wow.

Anything over 5ft has to be released

I love eating gar and would rather spend the whole day fishing and not catch anything. Than slaughter s gar with a bow arrow any day in fact down south we’re im from there a lot of bow fishing and I’m against it I’m a traditional guy.

This great Fish must be protected

I've seen piles of gar from bow fisherman where the gar are just left on the shore to rot. they waste these beautiful fish. please make a size limit on bowfishing

Alligator gar need help to restore them to where they once were

I want the to see the gar live for many more years to come and I would hope that they put a ban on bow hunting for gar because some bow hunting just leave them oh the bank to rot.

Lets protect a great prehistoric giant and bring back its slow growing population.

All species need to be protected and preserved

These regs are still not stringent enough. Create quarterly short duration bowfishing seasons. A shot fish is a dead fish. These seasons would be more easily managed, and would keep people honest.

We usually only get one chance to save a species, because The Alligator Gar is a rough fish it does not get the advantage of being Sport fish with the dollars to preserve their habitats and species. We have to do what is right sometimes even if it is not popular. Thank You.
