The school administration formally reversed the decision and Logan will be keeping his parking spot design. We have confirmed the updated policy regarding student expression and will monitor its implementation for the remainder of the academic year.

My very good friend Logan painted the LGBTQ flag on his senior parking spot at school. The principal had already approved the design and after he has painted it there have been many calls and complaints about the painted flag. Now the principal is trying to make him paint over the flag and i will not stand for it! I stand for freedom of speech and expression! I stand for Logans right to paint what he pleases on his parking spot when other members of the school paint crosses, bibles verses, and rebel flags and dont get asked to paint over them. I stand with Logan!

We have reached five hundred signatures on this petition. I am currently drafting a formal letter addressed to the school board to request a meeting regarding the policy for student parking spots.

The rainbow symbolizes love and unity. The Confederate flag was the Battle Flag of states who rebelled against the United States of America and lost. They rebelled in the name of slavery and white supremacy. The calculus here is very simple. Keep the rainbow, lose the Battle Flag.

The pride flag is a symbol of love and equality. You should as a school be embracing this expression, especially considering the higher risk of bullying, ostritization or self harm and suicide LGBTQA students face. Do better for them.

You do you, stand strong and don't let the bullies get you down... Sad how another person of power would rather single a child out then stand up for his rights, so that he can save face with the community. Logan you are not wrong, they are!

This boy is standing up for what he believes in and any person getting in the way of that is teaching young kids that their beliefs are irrelevant! Unacceptable and quite frankly, embarrassing to me as MHS alumni!

As a Special Ed Teacher, I promote tolerance & understanding of all people; As a mother of a LGBTQ kid, I proudly support this petition & the school's decision to allow it. I wish my kid had been able to show their rainbow.

He has every right to make HIS senior parking spot whatever he pleases. People need to get updated with 2017. There are A LOT of LGBTQ+ kids than you think. This irritates me. He should do whatever he pleases to express himself. That is the whole idea of HIS OWN PARKING SPOT

This is absolutely degrading to the LGBTQ+ community and is not right to treat a student. I hope this student is given a formal apology and will be soon left alone.
