State legislators need to change their way of thinking in that history has shown law enforcement can't protect students. We as educators and parents need to be responsible for our children's safety. Schools should be protected by more than laws that prohibit weapons, it is basic logic that criminals don't obey laws.

This is unconstitutional. This is the type of teacher we need more of.

I fully support responsible teachers being able to conceal carry in their schools. It should be something being done nationwide. Who else is going to defend your children while they cops take their sweet ass time getting to their school? How many children and teachers could die in that amount of time? I feel like each state should require at least a handful of teachers to have ccw's maybe with special training for combat situations in their exact school so they are all better prepared! Have special licensing and tests to make sure they are ready and able to do the job right. Instead of shunning it, make it work for you!

Some teachers understand firearms and how to use them to save lives. Such a teacher feels very conflicted by their desire to both protect their students AND to obey all existing laws. Let's get this one right!

I feel that we need teachers to be concealed carrying. They are our children's line of protection. They need to be able to protect our children and themselves. The children and the teachers are sitting ducks in a gun free zone, and it is even posted. It is to easy for a parent to pass by the front desk, and who is to say the next gun (person) is not a parent.

The only way that laws will change is if we tell our legislatures what we want and if they won't do what we ask, then we find someone who will.

It should be unlawful to allow our young students to remain unprotected. A certain percentage of school staf should be REQUIRED to carry a firearm and to be qualifed to use it. Please let go of your liberal fairy tale view of the world and FACE REALITY! If you continue to prosecute good, honest citizens who are intelligent enough to arm and defend themselves, and continue to force citizens to remain defensless, more and more innocent people will die. For god's sake, you don't even let our military men and women carry a weapon. They have to call the police for help! You have gone too far, enough is enough. It's insane!

We should be proud of someone who who wants to protect our children and not punish them for their actions. Look to the shooting in Pearl, MS several years ago...he was stopped by a coach who retrieved his shotgun form his vehicle. Why do the anti-gunners always think of decent, kind, caring gun owners as evil? They might look to themselves for evil intentions if they want to disarm such a man as Daniel Nagel.
