LT management need to know how to manage personalities and abilities and give freedom to work rather than firing over a silly reason. Coach Lucas job is tough one. He works at dawn, at night and most weekends. He doesn’t have a ‘normal’ schedule. His job is in a fish bowl where he is scrutinized by all of us. When he is not at the pool, I see him work on administrative duties like meets, workouts, structuring etc. He is very fascinated in that sense. A coach can be one of the most influential people in our child’s development. That’s why we all want the best coach for our kids and look like LT has different ideas!!

I am beyond disappointed to learn of Coach Lucas’ abrupt termination. It demonstrates a complete disregard for our swim team family. My daughter swims 2 hours/day, 4x/week and to discount the impact to my child and all of the other committed swim team members is stunning. How do I explain to my daughter that her coach was abruptly fired? As a family we’ve been committed to Lifetime for over 8 years and always recommend your facility. I don’t feel that Lifetime has been committed to us or even thought about how this would effect our families.

Absolutely disgusted by how poorly and unprofessionally Lifetime management handled Coach Lucas' termination, especially given that the scheduling conflict that ostensibly led to his firing has been resolved. Coach Lucas has been a fantastic leader for our team and mentor to our children, and our kids didn't even get to say goodbye. Just like Lucas and Bev before him, any new coach will be out within a year because you're not addressing the toxic common denominator in these situations - and you know who that is. In the interest of your reputation as a business, you ought to consider carefully what you're doing.

Lucas coaches the Masters swim team of which I'm a member. He is the best Coach I've had in the 15+ years I've been with Masters.
I joined Lifetime (Nov '16), due to its superior Masters program, after the Hills Fitness Center closed. I compliment Lucas to Corporate and Matt whenever I get a chance. Please bring him back.

Coach Lucas is the best coach in Lifetime South Austin. He works so hard for our kids and swimming team. He doesn't deserve to be treated this way. I stand with Coach Lucas.

Coach Lucas got fired because he had to take a second job to support his young family , lifetime$ response is to fire him
They take or money , and put it to the bottom line instead of investing in the program and staff (lucas) first the run coach bev off with limited hours and now they fire Lucas , maybe they should invest more in coaches and less in 90” TVs advertising their new programs non stop in fitness center

Coach Lucas is the best thing that happened to this swim program. Bring him back. His boss”whatever his name is...I think Matt” should be the one in the chopping block. I’ve never even have seen him before today. I’ve never seen him on the pool deck until today.
