The laws should apply to everyone just the same. Every case should processed, based off of the laws. A state's attorney should NOT be able to use his discretion to blatantly ignore the law. The state law verbiage is clear as to what MUST happen in a case lime this. It doesn't say maybe, or upon the state's attorney's discretion. This case is an embarrassment not only to Ogle county and the people who voted Eric Morrow into office, but to the whole state of Illinois. Why bother passing the laws if you're not going to follow them?

The man who killed my niece needs to be held accountable. He acted with wreckless disregard for life when he decided to drive that boat while impaired by alcohol. He took an innocent woman away from her children and family forever, because of his negligence. He needs to be held accountable, and if a local court cannot bring proper justice, then this case needs to be moved to another location that isn't biased by this man's local prominence.

Regardless of what he was driving he was doing so while intoxicated, which is illegal. Wrong is wrong regardless of financial status
