Dear friends rise together as one and let the world know that injustice in the Philippines is over. We have to stand united here for a good reason, honesty and truth and for that to happen, we have to stand together and say enough. No more. Here is a comment made by a very smart person.... Dear Friends, I come before you to ask you to join "US" in a fight against injustice. A young lady Marah Smith who is a going to CMU has lost her crown because she is considered a none Filipino when your constitution says she that Mara Smith must remain as the Bb. Bukidnon Centennial..Why?.... Because Art. 4, Sec. 1 Par (2) of the 1987 Constitution provides that "The following are citizens of the Philippines: [2] Those whose fathers or mothers are citizens of the Philippines" and the Philippine nationality law is based upon the principle of "jus sanguinis" or "Right of Blood". In this case, Ms. Smith's mother is a Filipino citizen. Applying the above mentioned principle of the Constitution, the citizenship of a parent who is a citizen or national of the Republic of the Philippines is acquired by their child. In other words, children at birth of Filipino citizens AUTOMATICALLY acquire the Philippine Citizenship.
