I understand that there should be a place for those in need but it shouldn’t be in such a residential neighborhood. The value of the properties will be hindered by this

Terrible for the community, this is a safe place for our children and citizens we do not need this in our area, plenty of other communities to introduce this too

I am very concerned this will affect the safety and well-being of my elderly family member and the surrounding community.

I don’t think you guys should put a sober house where the elderly are living. It’s not right because you guys could be putting the elderly people in danger ‼️ ⚠️ .

I do not think this would be a good idea to put a sober house there

I'm against the sober home due to the kids that live in the neighborhood being affected by the influence of it and feel it would long term destroy our community all together.

This is a very quiet neighborhood with a lot of elderly people who like to take walks. They take walks because they feel safe. Please don't take this away from us

I have nothing against a Sober House and feel the need is definitely there to help these people recover. The problem I have is why in a quit safe neighborhood. I pay high taxes to live in New Bedford and feel this is not fare to us the tax payers of the city to ruin our neighborhood. I have young grandchildren that I walk daily on Caroline Street. This would no longer feel safe to me nor will I feel safe anymore living in my home. I would seriously have to consider selling my home and moving out of New Bedford. Another thing to consider if it is ok for the mayor to stop one of these sober houses in his neighborhood why can't the tax payers of the city also have this same option. This Sobor house would destroy our peaceful, family, safe neighborhood. Please do not allow this to happen. Thank you Liz Gomes

This is not a neighborhood for that I have children and bought this home because I felt it was a safe neighborhood for my children and if a sober home comes into the neighborhood so close to my home I will be selling and moving out of New Bedford sorry but my children’s safety comes first
