If stairs were built to aid humans then they're clearly not fulfilling their purpose. We have evolved enough as a people to easily build a replacement that would be more convenient for different types of disabilities.

I feel that this issue has been neglected in our society because no one ever thought about it. To be a pluralistic society,we should cater for each segment in our society-be it the disables or anyone. I appreciate and applaud this effort for caring about the disabled people, who have to be dependant on someone when going out.
