I have signed already but just want to say this petition is a bit up the left. It says I am from Coleraine when I am from Derry, right on the border and cross over to Donegal practically every day. It also says there is no support for the Oyster Farm yet Sean O'H relentlessly makes comments criticising the petition and people from outside the area who care about it. Perhaps you should have another meeting and air these views? Just saying. It's offensive reading that petitioners are jumping on a bandwagon when all we care about is saving the beaches of Donegal from being destroyed for the economic benefit of a few as I understand it. We need more information please as no-one is countering Sean O'H who is clearly entitled to his view. Yours etc

IMPORTANT: Why is Ranafast benefiting from monies being raised? Why don't they just not look out their windows when the tide is out, who wants a view of grey sand that's been the cause of waste of the years OYSTERS FILTER the water! Some of you who are reading this aren't from the local area and don't understand the PROs or aren't hearing the PROs but you can clearing read or hear the falsified CONs every wee thing is being brought up like lorries on the grass? Didn't stop early morning risers digging holes in the sand to build their houses over the years, saying the oysters are being sold as FRENCH while they are clearing made in DONEGAL and sold that way. Get the facts before you lot jump on the Ranafast band wagon!!!!

No please!! Don't destroy the most gorgeous coastline in Europe for a couple of pounds in the pockets of a few. The Donegal coast is a precious place - worth far more as a pristine tourist hotspot!!

These oyster farms are an abomination on the world renowned beaches of Donegal. Due process appears to be increasingly ignored and the economic benefit to the local population is negligible. In fact it will be the reverse as the tourist economy, so heavily relied upon, dwindles away as more and more areas of outstanding beauty are ruined. This madness must stop!

Stad anois! Do not ruin the most beautiful coast line. Do not ride roughshod over the beaches of Donegal - this area needs protected and proper investment, not exploitation

Due process has not been followed in the granting of these four licences for large-scale commercial oyster farms in a Special Area of Conservation. On that basis alone, they must be revoked. Any licencing process for development of this nature must include full, transparent community consultation as well as a robust, independent Environmental Impact Assessment.

I have visited the Gweedore area several times and intend to do so again. I have brought friends over with me on each occasion, and one of the main things we all love about the area is the crystal clear waters and unspoilt beaches. Farming Pacific Oysters will damage these areas and ruin the views. Pacific Oysters are not wanted by the local community, nor by tourists. They are a non-native species that can escape and cause problems in the local environment. These farms should not go ahead.

Who said this development wasn't in the best interest of the community, considering it's employing local men, strong players with Naomh Muirhead and if they lose their jobs we lose footballers and Ranafast goes back to moaning again. Also I do didn't see any planning permission for those signs that littered Braade?

What's the difference between Cruit and Braade? Cruit doesn't have waste in the strand, from the GPE over the years, Sharkeys waste or stock car racing! Grey sand isn't normal??? That's not from the oysters if anything oysters filter the water, that's a horrible view if the tides out without the oyster farm. Stop moaning about the environment when oysters are helping the environment for our FUTURE GENERATION!!!!!!

This project is not on the best interests of the local community, as they have stated and they have not been consulted. It must not go ahead. They want tourism not private Oyster farms.
