Please sign this petition if you disagree with the newly implemented 'Honeybees 2.0' plan and would like St. Nicks to revert back to the 'old' child advancement model. This would mean that on a child's birthday they would transition from one classroom to the next. For example - Upon a child's third birthday they would transition from the Honeybees room to the Rainbow room.

The intention of this petition is to raise concerns regarding the cucciculum change rolled out by St. Nick's Day Care and to carry this petition to the Church that runs the school. Many of you have expressed your concern about the program to me in person and via email. Rebecca has been trying to implement the continuity of care model over the last 1-2 years and subsequently she created the Honeybees 2.0 program this last fall for this "in between" group of students. The Honeybees 2.0 was not a program created by parents.

A side effect of this plan is that a handful of Honeybee children are being placed into a 'side' room where they will occupy a portion of the Rainbow or Sunshine classroom and will transition to teacher Raja. Then in August they will transition to their 'permanent' teacher in the Sunshine classroom. This means the children will have (3) different teachers in a 6 month period. This, by definition, is the polar opposite of the continuity of care model. Further, this alternate plan will create additional stress on teachers from multiple classrooms along with children and their parents.
