I especially feel that elementary-aged children need in-person learning. They need that interaction face-to-face with their teachers and fellow students. You cannot expect a 5-year old to independently know to sign onto Zoom at 8:30 am. And many, many parents MUST work to pay the bills. The virtual learning, while fine for some, doesn't work for most families. And if the goal was to keep everyone home, that's not happening either. Families are forming pods and/or using facilities (for example, gymnastics studios or gyms) to help navigate the e-learning. Let's get our kids back to school following safety measures! It can be done.

Kids need to be back in school and around there friends. It is not healthy for them to be cooped up in their rooms all day. Also it is very hard for to get the help needed for some of her classes through a computer screen. They need the teacher in person to be able to learn better

Children NEED to be in school. The impact of virtual learning is not only academic, it impacts them socially, mentally and physically. The decision was based on politics and false data. Give parents the choice.

We are two full time working parents. Having to sit with my elementary aged child to keep them on task not only puts our jobs at risk but also does not benefit the child/parent relation. We are not teachers and I can see how hard this is for the actual teachers. Send them back to school.

Save our children. Make a hybrid plan that allows for safe in person instruction for staff and students. If you don’t know how, seek out successful school districts within and outside of your state. It can and does happen!

Really need my freshman and 4th grader to learn in person. They both had tears this past week during what is normally a happy time.

Not only are children being DEPRIVED of optimal, basic right to education, they are being DENIED contractual services by SSD for IEPs and therapies! There are safe protocols that “in person” schools have implemented that can work quite well. No need for SHUTDOWNS! Administrations have to GET ON BOARD! Stop hiding behind all the skewed Data... BE A HERO and RESCUE these kids from this DESTRUCTION!

The detrimental aspects of keeping children out of school for a prolonged period of time out-way the risks imposed by the Corona Virus. Children and parents are showing the adverse effects of an interrupted school career.
