No reason for this insanity. CDC just walked back their 160 thousand deaths "from " covid to the actual 9 thousand 2 hundred that died from covid-19. This virus was a flu, it got globally hijacked for Political purposes.

Most teachers and students are not in the high-risk group. Allow parents to choose whether their students return to in-person classes. Be creative and identify specific actions to protect high-risk students and teachers such as: 1. designate an elementary teacher per grade to teach online to high-risk students who cannot attend in-person classes. 2. keep the current class schedule for HS students for the first and second quarters which will minimize the number of people that students and teachers encounter daily. 3. ask parents to provide transportation if possible and use transportation savings to provide teachers with better technology solutions so they can teach in-person classes while streaming to any online middle or high-school students. 4. require masks during passing periods. Individuals could wear masks during class if they feel it is necessary to protect themselves. These students cannot be expected to learn as well online as they would in-person and this will certainly be shown as students take future classes that they do not have a strong foundation in the information they should have learned during COVID. Please rely on actual factual data such as hospital admissions in our area especially focused on people without any underlying conditions. Percentages such as positive tests to population can be skewed merely by altering the number of tests administered and does not seem as factual. Hospital admissions will better identify the percentage of the population that experiences severe symptoms that need medical attention. Thank you for considering the best interests of the students and the district's reputation.

Rockwood's virtual learning plan has all but abandoned children with learning disabilities and other struggles. Public education is supposed to be the great equalizer and help erase income disparities by providing every child with a quality education. By neglecting this core tenet, our Rockwood administrators have betrayed the most vulnerable of our children. It is time for Rockwood to take a cue from the private schools and get children back into the classroom. -I sign this petition as the parent of one Rockwood student (8th grade) and one former Rockwood student (6th grade), and also as a formerly proud Rockwood graduate myself.

My second grader and I are both having a terrible time with this in home learning. Children always act different for Mom then anyone else and not always for the best in most cases.

Especially if our children have already been exposed what’s the point of them wearing a mask.
