Enough is enough. Recent mortality numbers provided by the CDC prove that this whole exercise is a complete farce. My children are in a very dark place that I worry about daily, all due to a political “boogey-man” under the bed. End this BS now!

My son is special needs, we cannot teach him at home because my wife and I both work. Covid is a complete joke. Time to wake up and get things back to normal!

Closure and virtual are more harmful to the family than COVID in the long run. Open the doors!

Let those at risk or those that are concerned stay home. Our children NEED to be in school. Mental health issues will skyrocket the longer this goes on. This virus is not what the media is making it out to be. Trust the science and look at the data.

The lack of direct teacher instruction in this virtual plan for Rockwood is appalling. I grew up attending Rockwood schools and have always been proud to be an alumni of Rockwood. It’s embarrassing now to see that one of the largest, most well funded school districts in the state can’t get it together to support their students. Our child’s kindergarten teacher is basically relying on Canvas to do the teaching. That is totally unacceptable. If she was in school she would have 8 hours with a teacher instructing her daily. Currently she has 1 hour of her teacher and 30 minutes of a specials teacher. We are trying to do everything we can to support our child through this, but the school district and the board need to step up. Do what is best for these young children. Send k through 3rd back to school! Show is what an amazing school district Rockwood can be.

I think it's best to push forward with safety precautions but the kids need to go back to school for optimal learning and for family life to normalize.

our children's future potential is not going to be met if we as a society can not fully actualize a system that is not as fulfilling. Children need to have goals and experiences to be well adjusted humans

Covid is less than an issue for kids than being isolated from the very necessary social aspect and interaction of being in school. It is VERY hard to teach these young kids virtually. It doesn't work. Open schools. If some families don't feel its safe for their child, then they can stay home. Bottom line, you will have more kids attending in person than virtual.

Virtual is not okay for me children. Little kids don’t know how to navigate the computer. Teachers don’t know how to teach through the computer. Kids don’t pay attention and the teachers can’t tell who is participating. Nothing is being learned. This is going to hurt so many in the long run and set them back. It is also a huge financial burden on families to stay home.
