These kids will be more hurt by losing and falling back in their education than Covid hurting them. Get these kids in school

There will be long term psychological issues for these kids if they continue to have no social interaction.

Back in March schools were closed for what we were led to believe a temporary, short term period in order to make sure the hospitals weren’t overwhelmed. In the STL area, we’re running about 300 hospitalizations with less than 100in the ICU. Serious and sad that people are dying but not the disaster predicted.

The mental health of the children needs to be considered in relation to their physical health. Children are returning to school all over the globe without an increase in COVID cases. Permanent precautions prepares us for future Pandemics. Teachers, children and staff need to be protected in school. Isolation is also not ideal for the development of mature immunity in future adults.

I put my son in private school because his plea and mine fell on the Ladue BOE and Dr Wipke’s deaf ears. I hold them 100% financially responsible for the cost of his appropriate education which they chose by 6-1 vote NOT to offer.

This virtual screen learning is a waste. Students need to be connected with their friends and to have a teacher in the room! They will not be prepared for college because they've lost several months of learning.
