Please prioritize the overall benefits of roles like librarians, and special education in the larger picture of a child's development.

Please rethink this decision -- if not for the sake of St John's school kids and their families, do it because a dollar invested in the development of a child will return many more in future years.

Missing some information here please...how was it removed from the budget? How, when there is a huge group of 77 kids rely on this. What do we do next? This isn't the kind of schooling that supports the true value of education. Please reconsider.

Aren't the cuts simply a function of declining enrollment? I say merge the two boards and use the money saved to hire back the EA.

Please re-think this decision, so that all students at St. Johns will benefit from the full support of the staff, without omitting any of the special education needs for those students who require special care.

It should also be added that where they are pulling the help from is the classes where there are no caps for number of students. Grades 4-8 are the classes that require the most support for student success.

These types of cuts will definitely push families to choose the public school system. The board needs to support the St. John school community better.

Being that I was educated in the Catholic School system, I feel very strongly about these cutbacks.
What I think is going to happen is that some of our current families will switch to the public school system, as this system has more money and advantages for their children.
These families will in turn switch their taxes to the public system resulting in less funding for the catholic school system.
I believe this will result in a vicious cycle that will repeat itself every year, leaving the catholic system in dire straights.

This decision is perposterous and the sheer number of students in this school clearly dictate that we need these positions filled as they are existing at this time.
