Personally I honk this school should have just kept the name John Glenn Elementary. You’re taking away the name of the school that many went to and the generations behind those. St Hedwig needs to not be such a hard and picky little town with so many dumb rules.

I like the idea of naming an additional middle school "Traditions". St. Hedwig would be a good name for the new elementary.

It's the name of the town! I say name the school as such. Stop making a big deal about the "Saint" part. Should we also change the name of San Antonio ISD? It think NOT.

It should be named what everyone wants it to be named. Ask tired of people using religion as an excuse nothing is wrong with that. A lot of names can be religious if their in the bible .

When we moved here 10 years ago we never once thought of the Catholic reference of the city name. It’s just the name!! The city deserves to have its name in the school!!

I’ve lived here for a little over 2 years and I can honestly say I am not looking forward to the insanity that’s coming our way! The least the school board can do is name the school after the town that will never be the same.

If you’re going to destroy the peace and beauty of St. Hedwig with two big schools and a lot of traffic, the very least you can do is name the school after that town that allowed it to take up space within its borders. You are driving the pole opera taxes through the roof, school taxes continue to rise, and the board thinks this will be offensive? The school board is offensive. Their salaries are offensive in comparison to the salaries of the teachers in the district. Name it Saint Hedwig Elm. and move on to the real issues in your district.
