Instead of engaging with honest discussion with citizens, the St. Cloud City Council is acting as a toddler does when he or she doesn't want to hear something--they're sticking their fingers in their ears and screaming, "LALALALALALALA!"
They are selectively applying Roberts Rules, the rules with which they agreed to abide with to run their meetings. They are acting not as public servants, but as arrogant overlords.
It is time that the City Council be held accountable to citizens as the civil servants that they are, rather than the 'royal' denizens they fancy themselves to be, and it is time that the St. Cloud City Council actually follows the rule of law instead of believing themselves worthy to operate above it.

I support Jeff Johnson and moratorium. Yes we need to know the impact on our community. A few things to note. Disrupting our schools & work places with prayer. A foot bath at the college at tax payer expense. A question I have about how a Somalie woman going to the mosqe from a bank with over $5000 cash in her purse another with over $4200 on her EBT card. So much we don't know. People are afraid to speak for fear of losing their jobs. Homes for humanity building a home for refugees when we have so many homeless families here. I could go on and on.

St Cloud elected officials may be breaking Federal Law US & 1522 by not providing local citizen input on refugee resettlement . They have all been absent with one exception Jeff Johnson. And sometimes George Hontos. All the rest and mayor Kleis and Jim Knoblach say it is not their problem and is a Federal issue period.

No more refugees. They do not assimilate. They act friendly until there are enough of them in one place and then their true agenda rears its ugly head. Dearborn NO has been taken over and it is wrong.

Time to stop, take a look, and evaluate the impact. Time for transparency of the program and accountability to the citizens by our elected representatives.

Immigrants and refugees should be required to pay their own way and learn the English language. Aka no welfare!

I fully support Jeff Johnson in his effort to place a moratorium on refugees planning to move to ST. Cloud, MN. To find out what's going on nationally and locally please Google the "Explanatory Memorandum" for an explanation of what's happening in St. Cloud and other communities around Minnesota and the USA.

Time to replace or recall five
councilman who are too damn
scared to even discuss whether
a problem exists! Come out of hiding, open your eyes and be
willing like adults to address
the many resettlement ramifications that exist.

Bringing in thousands of people who do not wish to assimilate into our society and are here to GET instead of GIVE is just plain STUPID.

Why is our government bringing so many refugees to the US at such exorbitant cost when there are organizations and churches close to the areas they come from that can resettle them there for WAY less money and uprooting than bringing them here? Cal Thomas did a commentary on this awhile back, but you don't hear any mainstream media sharing this information...If our government would send some funding to these organizations, the money would go a lot further and help a whole lot more refugees!

Tax payers are paying for this...when our families came to this country they paid their own way. This is a big difference. We should have a right to know what's going on and keep the shady stuff out, if it's our dime.
