That said, we were concerned by the limited information initially provided and by the lack of a clear call to action in subsequent communications. While we respect your reassurance that student safety remains a priority, the seriousness of this incident warrants more specific discussion of how safety will be strengthened moving forward.

As parents and supporters of St. Charles Catholic School, we would like to know what concrete measures are being implemented to prevent weapons from entering campus in the future. This includes, but is not limited to, enhanced security protocols such as backpack checks, controlled entry points, or other preventive measures you deem appropriate.

We also request clarification regarding disciplinary actions taken in response to this incident, recognizing the school’s status as a private institution with established behavioral and safety expectations.

Finally, we would welcome guidance on how families can support these efforts—financially or through volunteer involvement—to help ensure the safest possible environment for our children.

We chose St. Charles Catholic School because of its commitment to academic excellence, faith-based values, and student safety. We look forward to open communication and clear next steps to reinforce that commitment.
