John Cornell, don't know where you got it from that DBS took the table out of use to stop other companies using the table. That is rubbish and DBS have for years actively co-operated with companies such as WCRC with use of both table and wagon shop (for the pit) which, if you have been support crew, you will know. The table was taken out of use following defects discovered after an inspection

Keep the turntable open for Cornish mainline steam!

Please repair it and keep it going. It is needed to turn steam locomotves when boiler first operation is a requirement. These rail tours need to continue steam deserves a chance to continue. It's just one turn table it won't take much out of the cornwall tourist budget and im sure people will donate

I have a vested interest as I am support crew on a recent visit to St Blazey I was shocked that EWS has tacked out of use just to stop the competition from operating rail tours

We can't not lose one more piece of the ecc landmarks of St Blazey and Par. We have all grown up with the docks and the old stream works. It would be sad to lose them.
